March 29 - Personally, I try to stay away from honest work and besides, everyone knows the term honest pay means crappy pay.

March 22 - And you thought all that time you were styling your dolls hair you were wasting it.

Doll Hair Stylist

We have an exciting new opportunity within our retail sales team. In addition to our wonderful line of collectible dolls and accessories we have an on-site doll hair salon. At the salon, we provide our client's with hair styling and tips for the care of their doll's hair. In support of the hair salon we are now running a doll hair care seminar called The Hair Spectacular. The seminar takes place in our theater.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The associate conducting the show will be responsible for demonstrating, on stage, a variety of hair styling techniques as well as tips for the care and maintenance of American Girl Place doll hair. This ongoing event is very special because American Girl Place has a tremendous following and is in response to the needs of thousands of little girls who love and nurture their doll.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
We are seeking individuals with a minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in a retail environment. Candidates with experience in in-store demonstrations such as cosmetics application or toy demos as well as applicants with any stage or theatre background would be ideal. Undergraduate education preferred but not required.

Compensation: $12.40 hrly

March 15 - This is the perfect job for the kid who used to eat paste. I love when they have random jobs like this and they say salary based on experience. How likely is it that you would ever have had a job doing this in the past.

STUDIO ASSISTANT / GLUER

Full-time position available in production art studio. Responsible for gluing ltd. ed. designs to glass objects such as platters and bowls. This is a small production studio creating hand made pieces shipped nationwide. Need someone who works well with their hands and is conscientious and detail-oriented. 4-5 days per week. 

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.

 

March 8 - See if you think ahead and hire a driver than you can drink as much as you want. The rest of you, call a cab please.

DRIVER for Mardi Gras weekend

Looking for reliable driver for nights of 2/21 and 2/22. Must have good references, no prior arrests, clean driving record and cell phone. You will be on call for six hours at a time, but there will only be one or two hours of actual work a night, which will be driving to and from French Quarter. The rest of the night you will remain within fifteen minutes driving distance of the French Quarter. Good looking guys b/w 21-30 preferred, but all experience drivers are welcome to apply. Car is provided.

Compensation: 100 per night + possible tips for good service

 

 

March 5 - One time I heard this story about this guy who saw a line and thought it must be waiting for something really cool, but it turned out to be for nothing. Okay never mind that's a stupid story. I thought it was funnier when I started it, really. Anyhow if you thought this was going to be a good story because it involved waiting in line, then this job is definitely for you. 

Easy job - requires patience. Wait in a line for a few hours

Looking for 3 people to stand in a line this Friday night/Saturday morning for approximately 5-7 hours.

The line is to get a ticket. We can't be there to do it. You have to stand outside, and it is at night into the early morning. So you will have to be prepared with layers of clothing. You are allowed to bring blankets, chairs, (no tents), food, and you can sleep even. You're not allowed to leave the line for very long, but are allowed bathroom breaks and trips to McDonalds.

We need three people. Please send me an email stating why you're interested in doing this, any past history of this sort of odd job (a reference or two would be great, so we know you won't bail out in the middle of the night!)

We need someone who is DEDICATED and prepared to be willing to withstand the weather - whether it's warm and dry or cold and raining.

It's really an easy job otherwise, you can sit there, read, listen to music, meditate, play your guitar, anything (within reason!) - we just need your body to sit there and take the ticket at 7:30am when they pass them out.

Compensation: $50

 

March 4 - All the world loves a clown except for my sister, she hates them. So I guess if I got this job she would hate me. So I guess I won't be a clown then, but you can, I mean you probably don't even know her so it wouldn't matter that she won't like you.  

Oh and what's with all the caps? Clowns aren't supposed to yell at you.

March 1 - I wonder if this is the kind of job that people in the spokes model category on Star Search are aiming for. Seems like a waste to go to all that trouble to get a job like this.

A Seattle based event marketing and promotional modeling agency is looking for female spokes models to work promotional events. We are looking for high energy, professional models to promote beauty products, liquor, high-tech products, beverages, etc. Also, we need spokes models to be hostesses at tradeshows and car shows. In addition, we need models that are 21 and above to work bar promotions and club events starting ASAP. We are looking for extremely attractive bikini type models for the current liquor promotions. Looking for individuals who have promotional experience and or a background in nightclub and or distilled spirits industry.
